Let’s extend Prop. 30 funding for schools

Remember furloughs, layoffs and wage freezes?

When we fought to get Proposition 30 on the 2012 ballot—and then knocked on doors and phoned voters to make sure it passed—we finally put an end to the terrible state budget cuts.

The increased education funding from Prop. 30 is due to expire in 2020, but we’re already gearing up to ensure the rich continue to pay their fair share for education. We are collecting signatures to get a measure on the November ballot that will extend Prop. 30 funding.
