SEIU Local 99 members at LAUSD recently won their own Fight for $15 by securing a contract that raises the minimum wage at LAUSD to $15/hour. This increase will lift thousands of families out of poverty and raise the wage floor at LAUSD to ensure even bigger gains in the future.
Fast Food Workers started this fight. The “Fight for $15” began almost two years ago in New York and Chicago and quickly spread around the country.
