Child Care Providers Have Second Input Meeting With State

Focus on Problem Agencies

Our most recent Provider Input Meeting took place on September 25th and led to productive conversations on a number of issues, including:

  • How to improve transitions when payment agencies close, which often happens suddenly and can cause major disruptions to families and providers.
  • Sharing information about what changes happen as a result of the recent management bulletins issued on how and when we get paid.
  • Standardizing policies and practices about which rate (for example weekly or monthly) providers receive around the state to increase transparency for providers and preserve access to quality child care for families.
  • How to standardize Family Child Care Home Education Networks, specifically those that fall under a center-based contract, to incorporate model/best practices from other Network programs.

Stay tuned as we make progress!
