SEIU Local 99 members can play a big role to re-elect President Obama by taking a paid leave from work (Lost Time) to join thousands of workers in the battleground state of Nevada.
Members with political experience preferred, full time commitment expected including long, irregular hours. Schedule starts October 22 through election season. Apply today, the deadline to submit your application is Monday, October 8.
Applicants will be interviewed.
SEIU Local 99 Member Application Eligibility Requirements:
- Member must have completed an “All In To Win” training and signed the commitment to become a member leader and is actively building their 10 co-worker network.
- Member has participated in at least two (2) of the following political activities in the past year:
- Midnight Ride to Sacramento
- Sacramento Lobby Trip
- State Budget Town Halls at LAUSD Bus Lots
- Signature gathering to qualify Proposition 30 for the ballot.
- Action at LAUSD Board Meeting regarding budget cuts.
- Actions with Good Jobs L.A. including the Romney speech viewing party, action at Burlington Coat Factory, Tax Day actions, etc.
Selection is subject to Lost Time Release Approval from applicant’s employer.
