This year, Local 99 and the Social, Economic, and Global Justice Committee is supporting United Way’s HomeWalk 2014. On Saturday, November 15, walk together with your fellow 99 members and help move 1,200 homeless individuals into permanent housing next year.
Why You Should Walk
- Everyone deserves a home, yet 40,000 people in Los Angeles County don’t have one.
- Over the past 7 years, HomeWalk has mobilized 50,000 walkers, raised $4 million, and moved 14,500 people into housing.
- To help families like the Miller family, who might still be homeless today if not for housing programs funded in part by HomeWalk.
How to Participate in the Walk
Register online here to join the SEGJ Walk Team. There is no fee to participate.
