In the coming 2014-15 school year, Local 99 members working in Special Education for LAUSD who lost hours at the end of the 2011-12 school year will see their lost hours restored thanks to an agreement reached between our Union and the District.
Having issues at your jobsite? If your hours have not yet been restored, please show your supervisor or principal a copy of:
Also, please be aware that the agreement ensures these restored hours are at your regular worksite. If you still have an issue regarding your restored hours/time, please contact our Member Resource Center at (213) 637-0296. |
According to the agreement, in the 2014-15 school year, members who are in the same job classification and whose hours were cut in the 2011-12 school year will have their hours/time restored to hours/time worked as of June 30, 2012.
During our recent contract negotiations, our Bargaining Team also addressed the extended lunch hour and split shifts that the District implemented during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 school years that resulted in loss of work hours for many Local 99 members in Special Education. Members who filed individual grievances will have their original lunch period restored. Thank you to all the members who spoke out, filed grievances, and shared their stories about the impact of these cuts on the students we work with every day.
We made a difference!
