More than 1000 New Positions at LAUSD: Laid-off Local 99 Members Will Have First Priority

The L.A. Unified School Board has approved more than 1000 new Campus Aide positions to help support safety in our schools. SEIU Local 99 has worked to ensure that members who were laid-off are given the first opportunity to apply for these jobs.

While the District is not required to place restricted employees on re-employment lists after layoffs, our union advocated for qualified restricted employees to be called back for these positions. The District has already contacted eligible former employees with information about applying for these jobs. If you were not contacted or are interested in applying, please call LAUSD immediately at 213-241-6376.
