SEIU Convention Delegates Election Results
The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) convention will take place May 27-30, 2012, in Denver, Colorado. Following are the results of the April 21, 2012 election to fill available delegate positions. Click here for a document with the official results.

Notice of Nominations and Election
SEIU Local 99 provides this official notice of nomination and election of approximately 32 delegates to the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) convention to take place May 27-30, 2012, in Denver, Colorado. Pursuant to Local 99’s Constitution and Bylaws, the available delegate positions will be divided equally among the Industry Divisions. If the number of available delegate positions does not divide equally among all Industry Divisions, each Industry Division will first receive an equal number of delegate positions. Thereafter, the remaining positions will be allotted to Industry Divisions as determined by the Executive Board.
The Industry Divisions will conduct nominations and elections to fill all available delegate positions as follows:

Time: Nominations – 1:00 p.m.
Election – 2:00 p.m.
Nominations for Industry Division convention delegates will be taken in writing between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., and the election will commence at 2:00 p.m. on April 21, 2012. Only members in good standing may nominate, be nominated, and vote for Industry Division convention delegates. A member in good standing may nominate himself or herself or any other eligible member from his or her Industry Division. Nominees must accept or decline the nomination prior to the close of nominations. Any person nominated for more than one delegate slot may accept only one nomination. The election of convention delegates will be conducted by secret ballot.

Notificación de Nominación y Elección de Delegados para la Convención de SEIU
SEIU Local 99 provee esta notificación de nominación y elección oficial de aproximadamente 32 delegados para la convención del Sindicato Internacional de Trabajadores de Servicio (SEIU) que se llevara a cabo del 27 al 30 de Mayo del 2012, en Denver, Colorado. De acuerdo a la Constitución y Reglamentos de Local 99, las posiciones disponibles para delegados serán divididos por igual entre las Divisiones Industriales. Si el numero de posiciones disponibles para delegados no se pueden dividir por igual entre todas las Divisiones Industriales, cada División Industrial recibirá primero un número igual de posiciones para delegados. Después, el Consejo Ejecutivo determinara la distribución de las posiciones que sobren entre las Divisiones Industriales.
Las Divisiones Industriales conducirán nominaciones y elecciones para llenar todas las posiciones disponibles para delegados de la siguiente manera:

Nominaciones para delegados de División Industrial para la convención serán recibidos por escrito entre la 1:00 p.m. y las 2:00 p.m., y las elecciones comenzarán a las 2:00 p.m. el 21 de Abril del 2012. Solo miembros acreditados podrán nominar, ser nominados, y votar por delegados de División Industrial para la convención. Un miembro acreditado puede nominarse a sí mismo o a cualquier otro miembro elegible de su División Industrial. Nominados deberán aceptar o negar la nominación antes de cerrarse las nominaciones. Una persona nominado para más de una posición de delegado puede aceptar solamente una nominación. La elección de delegados para la convención será conducida por voto secreto.
