We are moving forward on the Automotive Bus/Truck Apprenticeship Program at LAUSD. Our Mechanics Labor Management Committee has met with the State and District to give them our counter proposal on the standards, requirements and qualifications for this program. We will be meeting with the District on September 8, 2015 to negotiate the terms and then again with the State and LAUSD on September 15. Our Mechanics Labor Management Committee also discussed the issues surrounding overtime disbursement in the shops and disparaging treatment on the job. Let’s support our member-led team as they work to make changes and job improvements.
