The LAUSD School Board makes important decisions about the District’s budget and other issues that directly affect our jobs, wages, work hours and the quality of education in our schools. On May 19, we’ll elect school board members that will decide on our future contracts, funding, student programs and other important issues. Don’t sit this one out. Vote and help spread the word to other voters.

Politics does make a difference. Because we elected candidates who support working families, we’ve won:
- Proposition 30 which ended furlough days, ended other devastating budget cuts to education and brought money for wage increases in our contracts, including a historic $15 per hour minimum wage at LAUSD.
- Expanded student programs such as Breakfast in the Classroom and the Supper Program at LAUSD that support student learning and increase jobs and work hours.

Tamar Galatzan, Bennett Kayser, and Dr. Richard Vladovic have already proven that they value our dedication, hard work and the services we provide. Thanks to their leadership, LAUSD has:
