This coming Tuesday, February 21, is the last day to register in order to vote in the upcoming March 7 Primary Election, which includes Mayor of Los Angeles and other important municipal measures.

Be sure to tell your co-workers, family and friends, too!

On March 7, voters living in East L.A., West L.A. and the San Fernando Valley will elect LAUSD School Board Members. These are the leaders who make decisions that affect our jobs—including voting on layoffs, school nutrition, transportation, summer school and other programs.

We can either elect candidates who value the work of classified employees and who will restore jobs and services—or candidates who will decide on budget cuts.

Think about it. Who extended health care benefits to cafeteria workers and T.A.s? Who raised the minimum wage to $15 for Local 99 members at LAUSD? School Board members. Who changed the minimum wage in Los Angeles, Seattle and San Francisco? City Council members. Who increased California’s minimum wage? Our state legislators and Governor Brown. Who took away union rights and worker strength in Wisconsin? Their Governor.

…and here’s a tip to help make sure you can easily vote in EVERY SINGLE ELECTION.

Register as a “Vote-by-Mail” voter and don’t ever miss an election again! Select ‘Yes’ during the registration process when asked if you want to get your ballot by mail before each election.

Here’s what it will look like:
