Summary of Tentative Agreement / Resumen de Acuerdo Provisional
Wages: 5% increase for all state-funded child-care and pre-school staff, retroactive to July 1, 2016; COLA for Head Start and Early Head Start will be negotiated immediately upon the release of federal funds from LACOE; wage reopeners for 2nd and 3rd years of the new contract, or whenever new funding becomes available.
Salario: 5% aumento para todo el personal de programas de cuidado infantil y pre-escolares financiados por el Estado, retroactivo a 1 de julio del 2016; Ajuste por Costo de Vida (COLA en ingles) para Head Start y Early Head Start que se negociará inmediatamente después de que los fondos federales se hagan disponibles por LACOE; reapertura de salarios en el segundo y tercer año del nuevo contrato, o en cualquier momento cuando se dispongan nuevos fondos
Health Benefits: Maintain current employee contribution of $60 per month per full-time employee.

Bereavement Leave: Increase from 3 days to 5 days.

*In addition to the Tentative Agreement, LACOE has authorized market adjustments for Head Start and Early Head Start. The new Head Start rates are attached, and Early Head Start rates will be provided when they are available. PLEASE NOTE: the COLA wage adjustments for HS/EHS will be negotiated as soon as funding is provided by LACOE.
