We spoke out in Sacramento as part of this week’s “Moral Monday” National Day of Action

Here in California and in dozens of state capitols across the country, working people called on politicians to support “a moral policy agenda that includes union rights, healthcare, and racial justice.” Participating in this movement led by North Carolina Rev. William Barber II, child care providers from across the state joined over 200 working people and clergy in Sacramento on Monday.

SEIU Local 99 Treasurer Tonia McMillian, a Child Care Provider in Bellflower, spoke out to stand with other hard-working Americans to demand that our elected leaders and candidates R-E-S-P-E-C-T the important work of early educators and school workers who are “…educating, developing and preparing our next generation to be successful in this country.”
