You remember in June, the Governor signed the 2016-17 budget into law. It included the largest new investment in recent history to early care and education—an additional $527 million. Make no mistake: this is a direct result of our lobby visits, rallies, phone calls, emails and even a little civil disobedience to draw attention to California’s broken child care system. Our unwavering activism led to this day.
Now we are just a few months away from the new rates that this investment will bring. Come get the details at this important meeting!
We will also talk about the important work that Local 99 child care providers are doing to ensure that Prop. 55 passes on Election Day.
