On May 11, 2016, we reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) with the District for our 2015-2016 reopener negotiations. The TA includes a 6% on-schedule salary increase and implementation of the salary survey (39 classifications will have upward pay range adjustments to get to within 5% of the labor market median). This TA is subject to a ratification vote by our SMMUSD membership, and we will be mailing ballots soon and conducting in-person voting at various locations throughout the District on June 3. RATIFICATION VOTE INFO:
Ballots to vote by mail have been sent to the home addresses on file for all SMMUSD members in good standing. Non-members may complete a membership application in order to vote.
If you don’t return your ballot by mail (or if you didn’t receive a ballot), you may vote in-person at the following locations/times on:
Friday, June 3, 2016 –
- District Office (Chief Steward Office) from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Samohi (Admin Building) from 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- JAMS (Library) from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Malibu High (Staff Lounge) from 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Ballots will be counted at the District Office at 5:01 p.m. on Friday, June 3.
