Official Announcement of Tentative Agreement and Ratification VOTE

On December 11, 2015, our union bargaining team reached a Tentative Agreement with the District on the reopeners. This Tentative Agreement includes:

  1. SALARIES: 6% increase to all salary schedules retroactive to July 1, 2015.
  2. ONE-TIME PAYMENT: 4% off-schedule salary payment to all SEIU members employed as of December 11, 2015, to be paid on or before March 1, 2016 (this payment is in addition to the 6% salary increase).
  3. SALARIES: 4% increase to all salary schedules effective July 1, 2016.
  4. ONE-TIME PAYMENT: 4% off-schedule salary payment to all SEIU members employed as of November 1, 2016, to be paid on or before December 1, 2016 (this payment is in addition to the 4% salary increase).
  5. BILINGUAL PAY: Effective 3/1/2016 Bilingual/Bi-literate stipend to be separated out. Bilingual Stipend (oral Spanish or Mandarin only) $300.00 per year. Bi-literate Stipend (written Spanish or Mandarin only) $350.00 per year.
  6. SAFETY: The District and the Union shall develop a Memorandum of Understanding on the Maximum District Health and Welfare Contribution.
  7. SAFETY: Payment for uniform and cleaning/maintenance allowance shall be paid on a separate pay warrant, at a flat tax rate in accordance with the Uniform Tax Code.
  8. SAFETY SHOES: Cafeteria Managers shall request and be issued a voucher not to exceed $150 to purchase safety shoes each school year.
  9. Both parties agree to forgo negotiations for the 2016-2017 school year.
