Members at LAUSD: Look for your pay raise

The next set of wage increases negotiated in our union contract took effect on July 1. For members just returning to work after the summer break, be sure your raise is reflected in your next pay check:

  • SEIU Local 99 members earning $11/hour increase to $13/hour
  • Members already earning above $13/hr will see a 2% wage increase, in addition to the 2% increase received last year.

We’ll see another set of increases in July of 2016, including an increase in the minimum wage at LAUSD to $15/hour. Even the City of Los Angeles’ new minimum wage will not move up as quickly as we’ve been able to push LAUSD’s minimum wage. The city’s $15/hour minimum won’t take effect until 2020 – at LAUSD we’re four years ahead!

We can be proud that we’re leading the way in L.A. And by next year we’ll be gearing up for negotiations with the District for our next full contract with a significant new wage floor.
