The election on June 3 for LAUSD Board District 1 narrowed the field down from 7 candidates to the top 2–George McKenna and Alex Johnson. We will be holding a special endorsement town hall on Monday June 9th for SEIU Local 99 members to consider which candidate to endorse.
Come interview the candidates and ask them the questions you care about – where do they stand on wage increases for school workers? Improved hours for classified workers? Expanding programs like OASIS to provide better services to students and families?

The SEIU Local 99 Town Hall will be held on June 9 in order to ensure Local 99 members have a voice in the process before the L.A. County Federation of Labor Endorsement decision on June 11.
