The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO Community Services, United Way and LA Trade Tech College Labor Studies present this course which surveys the broad range of public and private programs designed to help adults and children in need. This course outlines several strategies when the family income drops or even disappears. Topics include: How the AFL-CIO Community Services can help, living on a “survival budget,” credit counseling, where to turn for medical help, dealing with stress, and much more.
