LAUSD Labor Management Committees Give Us A Voice on the Job: Members Encouraged to Run for Positions.

Our contracts with the Los Angeles Unified School District establish Labor Management Committees that allow members to work directly with administrators to address and resolve workplace issues. Labor Management Committees give us the opportunity to sit down regularly with LAUSD to address the issues that directly impact us.

SEIU Local 99 members are elected to serve on these committees. Members in good standing may run for the Labor Management Committee positions. Elections for Labor Management Committees will take place at our Industry Division Meeting on March 9, 2013. Members who are elected must be present at the March 9 Industry Division Meeting in order to accept their position.

Members who wish to run must submit an official Nomination Petition signed by 25 members in good standing in your work category.  Nomination petitions may be submitted in person or mailed to: SEIU Local 99 Attn: Sarah Ochoa 2724 W. 8th St. Los Angeles, CA 90005. Nomination petitions must be received by Friday, February 15, 2013 at 5:00 pm.
