Corporations and other “Big Money” players donate millions of dollars to political causes that advance their agenda. How can we compete with that? Individually, we can’t. But collectively, yes we can! We do this through our COPE (Committee on Political Education) funds.
Our voluntary COPE contributions allow us to use the strength of our unity to influence the public policy that affects our jobs as public employees.
Funds are used to elect working family candidates and to introduce and pass legislation that protects SEIU members and their families.
